Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Stephen Kalt has joined forces with local hospitality impresarios Laurie Mulstay and Ron Marino (of Magnolia, Bar Chloe, and The Bar) to reinvent the former Caulfield’s restaurant at Thompson Beverly Hills. This is Kalt’s first-ever foray into the Los Angeles dining scene and together with Mulstay and Marino, he has reimagined this Beverly Hills dining destination and introduced the new Caulfield’s Bar and Dining Room.
At Caulfield’s Bar andDining Room, the talented chef has completely redesigned the menus to offer diners his take on the American Grill, accented by Mediterranean influences and, of course, the bounty of seasonal ingredients available in his new Southern California home. The restaurant’s all-new menus include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a soon-to-launch weekend brunch. Items range from simple, comfort food dishes, such as a selection of grilled pizzettes with seasonal toppings, to more sophisticated preparations like Duck Breast with Gaviota strawberries and Padron peppers.
The newly updated interior design reflects a 1930s industrial-meets-Art Deco vibe and introduces a 12-seat marble-top communal table, custom leather arm chairs, custom cabinetry for wine storage, restored vintage furniture throughout, all new light fixtures, and antiqued mirrors backing the bar, among other highlights.
