Coombsville Region of Napa Now Available in the OC

Delighting Costa Mesa foodies with creative takes on familiar and classic flavors, Savoy Restaurant & Lounge within The Hotel Hanford is now one of the few locations in Southern California serving and retailing wines of the Coombsville Region of Napa Valley. This small south east corner of the Napa Valley is quite different from the larger up valley regions of Napa, as most wineries are family-owned and operated, including Sodaro Estate Wines which is owned by Hanford’s owner Don Sodaro. With this natural connection, the hotel’s Savoy Restaurant is now able to feature several exclusive and very well-received Coombsville Region wines by the glass, as well as by the bottle. Matched with the ever-changing daily tapas menu in Savoy, the Coombsville wines are already a hit and sought after by those in the know’ in Orange County.

The Coombsville region is a combination of excellent terrain which is filled with volcanic debris and lava flows from the long ago eruption of Mount George which helps the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel grapes thrive in the soil. Combined with great weather and the wind and fog from the San Pablo Bay, a special wine experience can be enjoyed in this still unknown region of Napa and now Savoy Restaurant.
