Del Frisco’s Grille Santa Monica announces two new wine-focused events in March hosted by their talented Sommelier, Adem Sash. The first is a PlumpJack wine dinner on Wednesday, March 19, followed by the launch of Sommelier Saturdays wine lessons on Saturday, March 29, and continuing the last Saturday of every month. Adem will share his knowledge from 15 years in wine, mixology and beverage management, and from his current role as the head of Del Frisco’s Grille’s wine program, which boasts more than 500 regional wines from California. To kick off the monthly events, Adem will host a wine dinner featuring PlumpJack Wines on March 19 at 7:00 p.m., which will feature a selection of the winery’s finest, accompanied by a four-course menu from Executive Chef Daniel Tiger for $175. The menu will feature items such as Grilled Baby Octopus, Cherry Cab braised Wild Boar Belly, Filet Mignon and a Syrah Sorbet with Wild Berries from the Farmers’ Market. PlumpJack Winery is located in the heart of the renowned Oakville region of Napa Valley, and is highly regarded for the quality of its Cabernet Sauvignon. Adem, along with a knowledgeable PlumpJack representative, will educate guests about the wine selection and recommend some enticing food and wine pairings available at Del Frisco’s Grille. Starting Saturday, March 29, Adem will then launch a monthly wine series called Sommelier Saturdays, which invites the community for a two-hour wine lesson along with hors d’oeuvres for $35 per person. Starting at 1 p.m., LA wine lovers will learn about wine from one of the city’s top sommeliers about topics such as, the differences between Pinot Noirs from different regions, oaked vs. unoaked Chardonnay and the art of sounding savvy when speaking with a restaurant’s sommelier. Sommelier Saturdays will be held on the last Saturday of every month. Del Frisco’s Grille is located at 1551 Ocean Ave. in Santa Monica, on the corner of Ocean Ave. and Colorado Blvd, and valet parking is available adjacent to restaurant. Reservations can be made by calling: (310) 395-7333.
