El Segundo Mayor, Eric Busch was the guest of honor at the ceremonial ribbon cutting at the grand opening celebration of 1440 bistro and bar last week at the Embassy Suites LAX South. The celebration, attended by approximately 60 locally prominent business executives and neighbors, was planned to show off the newly renovated dining room and pub and to allow guests a taste of its new concept and menu.
1440 bistro and bar, developed and operated by Dallas-based restaurant and hospitality company Culinaire, is a contemporary twist on classic American fare. Great steaks, expertly prepared seafood, plus nightly specials are highlights of the diverse and delicious menu. The bistro offers comfortable seating for convivial groups as well as intimate booths for cozy twosomes in an upscale yet casual setting. Contemporary music programming and views of the soaring atrium and Zen-inspired Koi ponds provide additional elements for an unexpected feast for the senses. Restaurant hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p. m. daily.
The bar counters with its own brand of stylish comfort. Informal seating, engaging bartenders, and attentive service elevate the traditional English pub experience serving a variety of appetizers at the best happy hour in town. The bistro’s full menu is also available in the bar for guests who want to catch the game and grab a bite in a lively, friendly atmosphere. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. and transitions into dinner served daily until midnight. All credit cards are accepted and ample complimentary parking is available.
