Hotel Maya does the “Maya Mash” is a waterfront weekend smash for “Halloween” and “Dia de Los Muertos” celebrations beginning Saturday, October 31 to Monday, November 2. Fuego will also unlock the chains to its “Creepy Cabana” for extraordinary dinners with two seatings nightly beginning October 15 to October 31.

The “Maya Mash” in Fuego will mark one of the most important Mexican holidays with a special artistic and beautiful alter set up for Fuego and Hotel Maya guests and employees to bring artifacts to remember passed loved ones beginning October 31. “Dia de Los Muertos” on Sunday, November 1 is a celebration of children and on Monday, November 2 is a celebration of adults.

Fuego “Creepy Cabana,” October 15-31

Fuego will offer guests a spectacularly spooky dining experience in its custom themed “Creepy Cabana” with spine-chilling views of the world’s most infamous haunted destination – The Queen Mary – lurking in the backdrop. Guests will encounter eerie props, colorful uncanny up-lighting, giant spiders and webs, a frighteningly themed dining table and side spaces, candelabras, and a small altar with several skulls, candles and flowers, plus more.

Fuego Executive Chef Victor Juarez has created a scary good Halloween themed menu. In addition, daily Halloween themed entrees and several food and drink specialties will be available to guests throughout the month. Halloween, October 31

Hotel Maya’s “Maya Mash” bash in Fuego will host the first-of-its-kind “Best Decorated Face Mask” contest where guests will have a Polaroid instant photo taken and then displayed for staff to select a winner. Guests can also take a photo of their Polaroid and post to Fuego’s Instagram page @FuegoLB for chances to win Fuego gift certificates.

Fuego is set for a frightfully good time on Halloween that begins with two dinner seatings in the “Creepy Cabana” at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. In addition, Fuego will offer guests a special Halloween menu in the restaurant, along with several food and drink specialties available after 5 p.m. Fuego’s daily lunch menu will be available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A variety of holiday themed movies will also be shown on several Fuego big-screen TVs.

Dia de Los Muertos, November 1-2

The “Maya Mash” continues on Sunday, November 1, for Dia de Los Muertos with a live Aztec dance performance by Copali-Copili from 12-3 p.m., followed by a live Mariachi music show by Mariachi Arcoiris from 5:30-8:30 p.m., serenading guests from Hotel Maya’s Mira Mar Veranda balcony overlooking Fuego’s patio and live-streamed on screens in the restaurant.

Fuego will offer a special Dia de Los Muertos brunch along with several food and drink specialties served from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. A Dia de Los Muertos Sweets Table will be served family-style and selected off the menu.  A variety of holiday themed movies will also be shown on several Fuego big-screen TVs.

The “Maya Mash” resumes Monday, November 2, for Dia de Los Muertos with a live Mariachi music show by Mariachi Arcoiris from 5:30-8:30 p.m., serenading guests from Hotel Maya’s Mira Mar Veranda balcony overlooking Fuego’s patio and live-streamed on screens in the restaurant.

In addition, guests can celebrate their loved ones by painting their own “Best Sugar Skull Face” at home and wearing it to any of Fuego’s “Dia de Los Muertos” events on November 1-2 where guests will have a Polaroid instant photo taken and then displayed for staff to select a winner. Guests can also take a photo of their Polaroid and post to Fuego’s Instagram page @FuegoLB for chances to win Fuego gift certificates.
