All work and no play can make anyone feel dull, but Kimera in Irvine has come up with a series of weeknight events that are sure to liven up the workweek. During the month of November, Kimera will launch a series of recurring weeknight events that include:
· Monday Night Football (November 5, 12, 19, 26) – Football fans will want to capture the live action on big screen TVs while enjoying all night Happy Hour prices on beer, wine and cocktails as well as Kimera’s extensive bar menu. Among those items are golden fried calamari with a chipotle aioli dipping sauce ($6); flatbread pizzas with toppings such as margherita or sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers and onions ($8-9); sliders with all-natural beef, beef short rib with sage and fried shallots, chicken kefta in a curry sauce, and blackened fish with a mango relish ($6).
· Wednesday Beer Tasting (November 7, 14, 21, 28) – Beer lovers can explore the ever-evolving world of microbrews as they enjoy flights of 5 3oz featured beers served with Kimera’s popular skinny fries topped with parmesan, garlic and parsley. Cost is $15 per person.
· Gourmet Taco Thursdays (November 8, 15, 22, 29) – Just featured on the “KTLA Morning Show,” Kimera’s gourmet tacos include ones stuffed with filet mignon; truffle oil and mushrooms; shrimp and mango; and chicken kefta ranging in price from $10 -14 for two and available from 5-7 p.m.
