Las Vegas Is #1 Destination For Memorial Day 2014

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is the top destination for travelers over Memorial Day 2014, according to priceline.com’s annual survey of the Top 50 destinations for the holiday that traditionally kicks off the summer travel season. In second place on this year’s list is San Diego.

This is the 12th year that priceline.com has published its Memorial Day travel list based on travel bookings made through priceline.com for the upcoming holiday weekend.

In many destinations, average daily room rates (ADRs) for hotels are down compared to last year, creating some solid values for Memorial Day getaways. priceline.com Travel Editor Brian Ek cited the following destinations where bargains can be found:

Atlantic City, ADR $166 (-7% compared to last Memorial Day)
Toronto, ADR $109 (-19%)
St Catharines/Niagara Falls, ADR $120 (-8%)
London, ADR $175 (-9%)
St. Petersburg FL, ADR $123 (-4%)
Orlando, ADR $94 (-4%)
Washington, DC, ADR $139 (-4%)
