Las Vegas Tops Priceline.com’s List of Most Popular Destinations for Christmas Travel 2014
Priceline.com’s annual list of top Christmas destinations is out and it appears that, with the early blast of snow and last year’s frigid winter, travelers are overwhelmingly opting for warm weather spots to spend the holidays. In fact, Las Vegas takes the number one spot on the list of top 25 destinations for the December holiday period, based on reservations from priceline.com.
Las Vegas is joined in the top five spots by Orlando, New York City, Orange County and San Diego, all of which held on to a top five ranking from 2013 with the exception of San Diego, which replaced this year’s eighth place holder, Miami. The city to watch that made the biggest leap this year, however, was Fort Lauderdale, which moved 31 spots from 43 in 2013 to 12 in 2014.
