Calling all sandwich “sculptors” and lovers, home cooks, and amateur chefs! Olives Gourmet Grocer will kick off National Sandwich and Panini Month (August 2013) with a sandwich contest. Olives is offering all foodies the chance to develop a favorite sandwich or Panini and the winner will have it featured on Olives Gourmet Grocer’s menu during the celebrated food holiday month. The contest will begin Monday, July 1, 2013 and all entries must be received by midnight PST on Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
Three finalists will be chosen to compete by creating their sandwiches at luncheon event where a panel of VIP judges will determine a winner based on creativity, ingredient compatibility, presentation and overall flavor, taste and texture (Thursday, August 1 at 11:30 a.m.; finalists must be present to win). Olives Gourmet Grocer will then announce the winners:
1st place: $100 Olives gift card and will receive their sandwich printed on the restaurant’s menu throughout National Sandwich and Panini Month, boasting their name- along with bragging rights!
2nd place: $50 Olives gift card
3rd place:$25 Olives gift card
