Patty’s Cakes & Desserts has a delicious celebration planned for National Cupcake Day! On Tuesday, December 15, the award-winning, family-owned bakery will be giving away free cupcakes at its location in Fullerton. For the past 35 years, founder Patty Gomez has been bringing joy to her community with fresh-baked deliciousness, including cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and more.
As California faces tighter restrictions, Gomez is committed to spreading holiday cheer at a time when SoCal needs it most. Guests who visit her bakeshop on National Cupcake Day will receive a free cupcake with their purchase. Patrons will be able to pick from nearly 100 flavors of cupcakes available daily, including 50 regular, 21 vegan, and 20 gluten-free varieties, all of which are iced-to-order. Gomez’s bakery offers one of the largest and most comprehensive cupcake menus in the country with unique and festive flavors, including Peppermint Patty, Apple Bliss, and Lemon Drop.
In 1985, Patty Gomez started her business as a single mother from her home kitchen. Her passion for baking and cake artistry began as a home-spun hobby and has since grown into one of Orange County’s most established and respected bakeries. Her expertise has earned her bakery national recognition as a nine-time recipient for both The Knot’s Best of Weddings Award (2012-2020) and WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice Award (2012-2020). While 2020 has been a rollercoaster for small businesses, Gomez has much to celebrate this year, including milestones such as 35 years in business, ten years at her Fullerton storefront, and the launch of an in-house delivery fleet.
To ensure guests can safely celebrate National Cupcake Day, Patty’s Cakes & Desserts has placed floor markers to designate proper social distancing and will require guests to wear masks. Patty’s Cakes & Desserts is located in Fullerton (825 W. Commonwealth Ave.) and is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. for takeout, curbside pickup, and delivery.
