The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is having a priority drawing for licensing in the Orange County area. If there are more applicants than licenses available in Orange County, a public drawing will be held. If there are not more applicants than licenses available, applicants will be notified by mail after the priority application period of their ability to make formal application (ABC-211).
The Priority Drawing Slip, which is prepared at the time you filed your priority application, will be used in the drawing to establish your priority number.The number drawn by any applicant shall indicate the priority position of his/her application, but shall not insure the issuance of a license by the Department.

A LIST OF THE PRIORITY POSITIONS FOR ORANGE COUNTY WILL BE POSTED IN THE DISTRICT OFFICE AND WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE AT WWW.ABC.CA.GOV ON OR AFTER OCTOBER 29, 2014.
Applicants will be notified of their position on the list, via mail, and successful applicants will be notified to file a formal application within ninety days.Your formal application must be in the exact name(s) as stated on your priority application. At the time of filing the formal application, applicants must present proof of a two-year right of tenancy for the premises for which the application is filed.
