Rock & Brews has joined the Movember Foundation for its annual month-long mustache growing campaign this November at its El Segundo and Redondo Beach locations, in hopes of raising money for awareness about men’s testicular and prostate cancer.
Rock & Brews will kick off the month-long moustache movement at its El Segundo location with a Shave the Date party on November 1st at 4 p.m. Guests and restaurant staffers will receive old-fashioned shaves by George from George’s Barber Shop in El Segundo on a first come, first served basis in preparation of the hairy crusade.
In support of the foundation’s initiative, Rock & Brews team members at both South Bay locations will not shave for 30 days to help raise awareness about men’s health challenges. Guests will be invited to make voluntary donations to the Movember Foundation throughout the month and all proceeds will be given to the Movember Foundation.
As a global charity encouraging men to grow moustaches for the entire month of November, the Movember Foundation helps to shine the spotlight on various men’s health issues. The men who participate are called Mo Bros. These Movember Foundation ambassadors embody the cause by informing family and friends of the foundation’s mission; distributing health information and fundraising to aid in the development of world-class men’s health programs.
Rock & Brews in El Segundo will host a Rock The Stashe party on November 14, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. ” 10:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy food and drink specials, a live drawing and prizes.
