We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. This holiday season, help us build a stronger community by taking part in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. Today, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
Join the Movement
It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.
How You Can Help Share Our Selves
There are many ways to show your support!
- Donate to SOS. A donation of $45 buys five clients a nine ride bus pass. A donation of $60 pays one family’s utility bill. Help us provide for those in need in our community.
- Help a family in need of extra support during the holidays by participating in theAdopt A Family program, supplying extra toys and gift cards for families that have not been adopted. You can drop them off at SOS now through Friday, December 12, and/or drop them off at the OC Fair & Event Center Monday, December 12 from 10:00am – 2:00 pm and Tuesday, December 16 from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
- Sign up to volunteer.
- Take an #UNselfie (take a pic showing why you support Giving Tuesday, tag it#unselfie, #ShareOurSelves and #GivingTuesday, and upload it to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram).
- Come up with another way to give back!
