“Shave-A-Thon” Fundraiser to Benefit Cancer Research

SanDiego’s 5th annual St. Baldrick’s Shave-a-Thon is just around thecorner! The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is one of the nation’s leading contributors to childhood cancer research, second only to the US Government. Shave-a-Thons demonstrate individuals coming forth to shave their heads in solidarity with children (or anyone) undergoing cancer treatment. This year’s Shave-a-Thon will be held on Saturday, March 9th at The Commons downtown from 12-4pm. Last year’s fourth annual event was an overwhelming success with over 40 heads shaved and a packed house of over 150 supporters and a total of over $41,000 raised. This year, we have set the bar even higher with a goal to raise $50,000. In an effort to generate even further awareness throughout San Diego, St. Baldrick’s will be hosting a pre-event “Share A Little Love” pre-Valentine’s Day sign-up event on Wednesday, February 13th from 6-8pm at the host venue The Commons. Guests will enjoy passed appetizers and happy hour priced drinks as well as learn more about the event and sign up.
