The Three Clubs Rings in New Chapter After 20 Years

After two decades of success The Three Clubs owners, Marc Smith and Matthew Webb have tapped acclaimed DJ and nightlife heavyweight Sean Patrick to drive this legendary entertainment venue into its next chapter of success. Marc Smith and Sean Patrick are a nightlife duo to be reckoned with as Smith has owned and designed local landmark night spots such as The Edison, Burgundy Room, North, Golden Gopher, Vinyl, and Shangri-LA Hotel. While Patrick has managed and designed past Angeleno gems such as Temporary Spaces, Kanega, and Modular; and has worked at Teddy’s, Tropicana Bar, Bar Vermont, Deep, Forty Deuce, and Social Hollywood.

On Friday, October 14th The Three Clubs will be celebrating the arrival of new upscale accompaniments to the venue as well as a fresh line-up of weekly hosted nights. Originally made famous by the movie Swingers’, The Three Clubs has evolved from the original Hollywood martini lounge into a first-class entertainment venue without abandoning its roots. Their new additions include a completely refurbished second bar housing only unique label alcohol brands with an innovative drink menu crafted by seasoned Mixologist Joel Black who has had over 6 years of experience mixing “liquid libations” and has consulted on curated cocktail menus for over 30 restaurants and bars across the country. New signature drinks that guests can experience are; Refresher: Thyme, Lime, Cucumber, Soda, and Vodka; The Spicy One: Basil, Lime, Jalapeno, Agave, and Whiskey; and Pepper Smash: Lemon, Honey, Basil, Red Bell Pepper, and Whiskey; to name a few. While the front bar is staying true to the classic cocktail’ which has always been The Three Clubs’ claim to fame including Martinis, Stingers, Harvey Wallbangers, and Rusty Nails.

The Three Clubs will be kicking off their installment of new curated hosted nights with “Anything Vintage” and “The Jokers Wild”. “Anything Vintage” starting Sunday, October 16th is the old school reggae & soul night hosted by Marv Mack, which will be welcoming the Angeleno scooter crowd to come join in the fun! “The Jokers Wild” which began on Sunday, October 2nd is their monthly Sunday Jazz Night hosted by Paul Allen and Jonny Abrams (DJ Jonny Boy) who have been part of various successful jazz nights in Los Angeles for the past five years.

Friday and Saturday nights will be hosted by Sean Patrick himself bringing the venue alive with a full rock, and 80’s playlist. With the addition of a stage and state-of-the-art sound and lighting system in the back room, The Three Clubs has become a respected music, comedy and burlesque venue for emerging Los Angeles talent and established touring acts such as John Mayer, Gogol Bordello, Diplo, Brian’s Jones Town Massacre, JJAMZ (members of Maroon 5, The Like & Rilo Kiley), Dandy Warhols, Warpaint, Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Herbie Hancock, Queens of the Stone Age, Supersuckers, and Michael Des Barres, to name a few.
