TRADE Marketplace– Orange County’s premier center of visionary restaurateurs and retailers– has announced the addition of London Chippy, Ricebunn, and Yomie Yogurt, to the venue’s unique lineup. The popular fish and chips restaurant, eclectic Japanese onigiri concept, and creative yogurt shop will bring new and exciting dining experiences to TRADE’s vast portfolio of restaurants and retailers this spring.

With its grand opening last month, London Chippy was the first new addition to officially join the TRADE Food Hall this year. The restaurant, which opened its first location at TRADE, serves up Chef Arjun Bhakta’s hand-battered fish and chips recipe, made with fresh & sustainable fish and a traditional homemade batter resulting in an incredible richness, both in texture and flavor. Their classic Fish N Chips includes 2 pieces of freshly caught cod served with steak cut fries, house-made tartar sauce and malt vinegar. The Fish Poboy, served on a French roll, includes fried cod, crisp butter lettuce, tomato, spicy grain mustard, onion and is topped with Reds Hot Sauce.

“We are excited to now be a part of TRADE’s vibrant Marketplace and offer a fast-casual fish and chips experience,” said owner representative Grant Freeman. “We believe that fish and chips are poised to become the next big casual food craze in America, and we look forward to pioneering this delicious dish, which was made popular in England, to Orange County diners.”

Ricebunn, a Japanese onigiri concept, also joined TRADE earlier this month. Japanese rice balls, also known as onigiri, or omusubi, are a staple of Japanese bentos. Much like sandwiches in the West, onigiri is a quick and easy savory meal that’s perfect for on-the-go eats. Recently, these Japanese rice balls have had a surge of popularity in Southern California and TRADE is excited to be welcoming this first of its kind concept to the food hall. Diners can order up the Onigiri Trio which comes with your choice of 3 specially-made onigiri, in varieties ranging from Salmon, Tuna Mayo, KBBQ Beef, or even Vegan.

“Ricebunn brings a truly new and unique style of cuisine to the food hall. We’re confident that diners will enjoy our globally-inspired concept offering TRADE’s guests a delicious Japanese staple,” said owner representative Megumu Sonobe.

Planned to join the TRADE Food Hall later this year is Yomie Yogurt– a global handmade yogurt brand, which offers a twist on traditional yogurt and drinks. Packed with natural vitamins and probiotics, crafted with milk from exclusive sources in Australia and New Zealand, and special purple rice grains from Northwest China, Yomie Yogurt has made a name for itself for offering a unique alternative to trendy boba beverages.

“We are thrilled to be welcoming these three unique concepts, London Chippy, Ricebunn, and Yomie Yogurt, to TRADE. Each offers such unique cuisine, not currently represented in the TRADE Food Hall portfolio, which we know will excite our guests. We are always excited to see TRADE grow and diversify its offerings, and with these new additions we can confidently say that at TRADE there is something for everyone!” said property manager Kana Lee.

TRADE Marketplace, which is managed by Lincoln Property Group and owned by Daiwa House Texas Inc., has become home to Orange County’s most buzz-worthy food concepts and retailers since first opening in 2017. Located in the heart of the Orange County Airport commercial district, TRADE offers the first chef-driven food hall to land in Irvine. In addition to the new tenants, the venue boasts a curated lineup of hand-selected restaurateurs who offer a diversified flavor palette of global cuisines, as well as visionary wellness, healthcare, and retail concepts. In light of the pandemic’s restrictions on eateries across the country, TRADE Marketplace’s open-air concept is a design that has proved to sustain customer traffic by providing an al fresco dining experience that will continue to serve the community in the months to come.

London Chippy and Ricebunn are now open at TRADE from 11:30AM-8:00PM, Monday – Saturday. Information on Yomie Yogurt’s grand opening will be announced soon. TRADE Marketplace is located at 2222 Michelson Drive in Irvine. For more information, visit www.tradefoodhall.com or follow TRADE on Instagram @tradeirvine.
