Zengo, Chef Richard Sandoval’s inventive Latin-Asian hot spot on the roof of Santa Monica Place, has some new offerings sure to set the bar for an entertaining and delicious summer. Whether the new rooftop lounge, eclectic summer DJ series or Happy Hour menu, Zengo is one of Santa Monica’s newest hot spots for an apres beach refresh, nightcap with views of the Promenade or all-day lounging on a warm summer weekend.

Boasting spectacular views of Santa Monica sunsets, as well as the bustling Promenade below, the view from the rooftop patio at Zengo has always been a draw. However, with a new Rooftop Lounge offering an inviting feel with modern sofas and a rustic communal bar, there’s no better place to enjoy a sunset cocktail or early evening bite. To complement the new look and feel of the space, Zengo has introduced a more affordable lunch and dinner options with nothing on the menu over $19 as well as a new Happy Hour Menu with $4 classic Latin cocktails like Mojitos and Caipirinhas or more inventive libations such as Hibiscus Mojitos or Prickly Pear Caipirinhas for $1 more, as well as specially priced small plates including Yuca Fries with Miso Mustard and Lemon Sake Aioli; Teriyaki Chicken Wings with Gochujang Sauce; and Shrimp Tempura Roll with Shrimp, Crab and Avocado.

Weekends have a festive vibe with the introduction of the SunKissed Summer Saturdays DJ series produced by popular DJ Tim Koranda and featuring a rotating roster of guest DJs spinning everything from tech to deep house from 3:00 ” 6:00 p.m. Sundays are a bit more relaxed with a more ambient music mix to accompany Zengo’s $35 Bottomless Brunch menu offering unlimited small plates such as Steak Benedict with Poached Egg, Kimchee and Hollandaise; Kaffir Chilequiles with Salsa Verde, Crema, Poached Egg, Pickled Egg and Avocado; and Pan Dulce with Cinnamon Whipped Cream, Ligor 43, Star Anise and Orange Agave Syrup along with bottomless brunch cocktails including Mango Mimosas; Sake Sangria; and Lychee Bellinis.
