SteelCraft Garden Grove, an outdoor urban eatery built using repurposed shipping containers with additional locations in Long Beach and Bellflower, announced the addition of Buddha Belly later this fall. SteelCraft will be home to Buddha Belly’s second location. The fast casual concept provides customers with an authentic Southeast Asian fusion menu with dishes including Ka Prow chicken, Pad Thai, Vietnamese Bahn Mi, and more.

Akeem Wong, owner and founder of Buddha Belly, first began his culinary career interning at a restaurant in 2013 – this is when food trucks were booming which led him to eventually join the food truck industry. After gaining some experience, Wong opened his own food truck and within a year’s time, Buddha Belly was born. Wong opened the first location in Downtown Los Angeles in the fall of 2017.
“I have always dreamed of opening my own restaurant and am so grateful to now be opening a second Buddha Belly in Orange County,” shares Akeen Wong. “With the success of the Downtown LA location, this felt like the right next step. To partner with SteelCraft is such an exciting opportunity and I can’t wait to bring our unique flavors to the guests of Steelcraft Garden Grove.”
Buddha Belly opened its doors in early November 2021. Buddha Belly opens at SteelCraft Garden Grove from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
