Gratitude, Café Gratitude’s upscale sister restaurant – which has become a favorite within the Newport Beach dining scene since opening in 2016, has opened its doors in Beverly Hills as of May 24th. Similar to the original Newport Beach location, Gratitude Beverly Hills offers guests an elevated dining experience, while sharing the same philosophies and approach to the ingredient-focused menu as Café Gratitude.
“I’m so excited to see Gratitude come to life in my hometown of Beverly Hills and to introduce Los Angeles to this restaurant that represents a lifestyle that so many of us aspire to.” says Lisa Bonbright, CEO of Love Serve Remember (LSR). “Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a leisurely sit down experience with cocktails, Gratitude has something for everyone.”
Just like other LSR concepts, Gratitude Beverly Hills serves locally sourced ingredients and thoughtfully prepared dishes inspired by the abundance of seasonal produce available at the farmer’s market. The 100% organic plant-based menu created by Executive Chef Dreux Ellis mirrors Café Gratitude’s, including fan favorites such as the I Am Liberated Pad Thai kelp noodles and Elated Mole enchiladas while also offering Beverly Hills specific specials. To pair, Beverage Director Jason Eisner, who also oversees the beverage programs at Gratitude Newport and Gracias Madre, has created a 100% organic beverage program that proves wellness and cocktails can go hand in hand. Guests can choose from options like the Turmeric Mule made with alkaline vodka, house ginger beer, cold-pressed turmeric, black pepper essential oil and mint, the Cleansetini featuring alkaline vodka, lemon, turmeric, ginger, cayenne, maple syrup, and micro-filtered H2O, or even Spa Water made with gin, lime, mint, absinthe, sparkling wine, and green chlorophyll espuma. In partnership with GT’s Kombucha, the team has also worked to create a kombucha flavor exclusive to Gratitude, the pineapple turmeric flavor can be enjoyed alone or in the I Am a Star cocktail made with Gratitude Kombucha, alkaline vodka or tequila and jalapeno.
The new restaurant’s bow and truss ceilings define the light and bright space that is dotted with light oak tables and banquettes covered in Walter G fabric. Perfectly stylish patterns can be seen throughout the restaurant with an untraditional chevron floor that runs into handmade Zellige terracotta tiles imported from Morocco, which line the face of the bar. One-of-a-kind art fills the space, such as Josh Beckman/FBP pottery and a ten-piece installation from local artist Claire Oswald that provides a focal point for the back wall. The patio also features Zellige terracotta tile and is filled with marble tables, olive trees and cup of gold vines which provide the perfect reprieve from bustling Canon Drive. The design of the 3675 square foot restaurant was overseen by Wendy Haworth, architect Victor Corona, and landscape designer Scott Shrader who were also enlisted to help create the iconic vibe of West Hollywood hotspot Gracias Madre as well as Café Gratitude Arts District, San Diego and Gratitude Newport Beach.
Located at 419 N. Canon Drive in the heart of Beverly Hills, Gratitude Beverly Hills is open seven days a week, offering lunch and dinner from 11:00am – 10:00pm. They can be reached at 424.389.1850
