A swirl of soft, creamy milk ice cream drizzled with golden, raw honey. That’s the simple beauty behind HoneyMee, a rapidly expanding dessert shop concept opening at Harvard Place in Irvine late fall.
‘HoneyMee brings a hugely popular concept from South Korea to Irvine, certainly something different and unique to the growing ice cream market here in Orange County, said Easther Liu, Chief Marketing Officer for Irvine Company Retail Properties. ‘Besides, who doesn’t love ice cream?
There are only five choices on the menu, all with a base of ‘true milk ice cream that’s made without any artificial colors or flavors, just fresh California milk from a certified Kosher dairy factory. The ‘HoneyMee comes topped with a 100-percent natural honeycomb chip that’s delicately sweet, while the ‘Sweetie features a drizzle of liquid amber honey. Not feeling like honey? Try the ‘Dear, draped in Ghirardelli chocolate or caramel and finished with a sprinkling of French sea salt. The ‘Babee is any of the above tucked in a sweet bun.
