Newport Beach, CA – Top musicians will perform to raise funds for the andldquo;Jeff Golub Medical Fundandrdquo; on Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. With all of the entities involved in the production donating their time, resources and talent, 100% of the proceeds will assist Golub with mounting medical expenses resulting from the recent unexpected loss of the talented guitaristandrsquo;s sight.
In generous support the following musicians have committed to perform andndash; with Jeff Golub himself andndash;and there will be additional musicians announced soon:Mindi Abair,Rick Braun, Henry Butler, Brian Culbertson, Richard Elliot, Michael Lington, Jeff Lorber, Eric Marienthal, David Pack, Philippe Saisse, John Waite, Kirk Whalum, Peter White, and more to come. In addition, joining the musical entertainment is Comedian Alonzo Bodden.
Taking place in the intimate outdoor amphitheater under the stars at Hyatt Regency Newport Beach (located at 1107 Jamboree Road), guests will be treated to a very unique concert encompassing a variety of diverse sound and entertainment in the jazz genre.
Still performing regularly even in light of this recent adjustment, Jeff Golub brings a blend of blues, soul, rock, and jazz sound to the stage. Golub has eight solo albums and a newly released blues CD with the Jeff Golub Band featuring Henry Butler on vocals and keyboard: andldquo;The Three Kings.andrdquo; Golub is probably best known for his work with Rod Stewart, performing on four albums and five world tours with him.
