Strut BAR & CLUB is quickly approaching Premier Week, set for September 2019. As Costa Mesa’s newest nightlife destination prepares to welcome the community, the talented bar team has been developing a menu of flirtatious, creative cocktails to complement the glittering new space designed by award-winning firm, Davis Ink.
Located at 719 W 19th Street in Costa Mesa’s vibrant Westside neighborhood, Strut aims to fill the void of queer spaces in Orange County with a chic, comfortable and safe space for all people, of all interests, from all walks of life to experience and enjoy. Strut offers an ALL inclusive playground for colorful queers, fabulous ladies and every form of self-expression in between. Although it’s a fresh new queer venue, Strut’s purpose is to embody an Orange
County institutional feel with a throwback to the colorful eras of iconic moments that changed the world.
Step into Strut CLUB Fridays and Saturdays for a highly interactive, nostalgia-driven experience with Instagramable moments around every corner. Master planned by Davis and Andrea Krumins of Costa Mesa based interior design powerhouse, Davis Ink, which is known for building creative environments with an eccentric twist, the space will keep guests on their toes. From a ceiling of disco balls, plenty of neon and endless surprises, Strut is designed to be a little kitsch, with an ‘80s contemporary feel.
“Strut has the vibe of an old-school discotech but with modern music,” says Luke Nero, CEO and Founder of Strut and one of the premier producers of nightlife entertainment in Southern California. “The experience will be ever evolving and offer guests the very best in cocktail culture, visual production and musical entertainment right in our Orange County backyard.”
Strut CLUB will feature a DJ-centric schedule of weekly entertainment with dancing and themed nights and grow to include a Drag Brunch and a lineup of Southern California’s top performers.
Adjacent to Strut CLUB and under the same roof, Strut BAR will offer an approachable bar setting with elevated, creative cocktails. Led by Director of Operations and cocktail guru, Aaron Reid, Strut’s talented beverage team has developed a list of signature cocktails that look as delicious as they taste. With names like Miss Vanjie, a spicy and fruity drink paying tribute to the RuPaul’s Drag Race star, and Banana Boy with tequila, banana liqueur and a suggestive garnish, the lineup is sure to satisfy all tastes.
“To complement the aesthetic of Strut, we knew our cocktail menu had to be really over-the-top visually,” says Reid. “More than that, each cocktail is a true reflection of the freshest Southern California flavors, elevated with quality ingredients. The playful names and picture-perfect garnishes are the cherry on top.”
