Berner International Corp., New Castle, Pa., the leading U.S. manufacturer and innovator of air curtains, honored foodservice manufacturer’s representative Preferred Marketing Group (PMG), Chatsworth, Calif., with its Presidential Gold Award for Outstanding Sales Achievement– 2013/ 2014 at the North American Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) Show 2015, Feb. 18 in Anaheim, Calif.
PMG recorded the highest gross sales among Berner’s nationwide network of 23 foodservice manufacturers representatives, according to Miranda Berner, marketing director, Berner International. “They’ve gone well beyond the day-in, day-out sales of our Sanitation Certified High Performance 7 Series for back-door flying insect control,” said Berner. “They’re now making the Architectural Recessed 12 Series their fastest-growing air curtain product with placements through foodservice consultants in casinos and other restaurant venues needing energy savings and aesthetics at the front door.”
Berner International also awarded five other manufacturer’s representative firms for outstanding sales achievements during 2013 and 2014:
· Presidential Silver–Swanson-Girard & Associates, Charlotte, N.C.: Shawn Girard and Paul Swanson;
· Presidential Bronze–Power Rep Marketing Group, Fountain Hills, Ariz.: Thayer McCall;
· Biggest Single Order–LMS Associates, Arlington, Texas: Steve Langston;
· Fastest Growing Rep Group–HCH Inc., Sparta, N.J.: Gene Cinotti;
· and Most Improved Rep Group–Commercial Kitchen Reps Inc., Rochester, N.Y.: David Graf;
PMG is a 31-year old company with an 11-person outside sales staff servicing the territories of California and Nevada from field offices in Santa Rosa, Calif., and Las Vegas. PMG also operates a full-service, 4,000-square-foot test, demonstration and education kitchen at its Chatsworth headquarters. “Our engineered solutions facility features full-time chef and sales consultants that identify and recommend foodservice delivery procedure improvements to mainly multi-location chains,” said Tony Valvo, vice president/general manager, PMG, which has been a Berner representative for 18 years and also won the Presidential gold Award in 2012.
Valvo also expects 2015 sales to surpass previous years due to two newly-hired Northern California outside sales people with dozens of years of continued foodservice and air curtain sales experience. “The new sales staff additions are a continued effort to build relationships with multi-location operators that result in sales,” Valvo said.
