Restaurant & bar employees are invited to report to AnQi on Monday, April 27 starting at noon. The giveaway will proceed until they run out of boxes. 450 well deserving hospitality industry pro’s with receive boxes. To receive a box, a current or recent pay-stub must be presented showing employment in the food & beverage industry. Social distancing will be observed and facial masks are required by the City of Costa Mesa.
The giveaway began Monday, April 20, when more than 400 boxes were distributed to restaurant/hospitality employees at the An’s Beverly Hills restaurant, Crustacean. The donation is made possible by a GoFundMe campaign initiated by the Ans. South Coast Plaza and Elizabeth Segerstrom, co-managing partner of South Coast Plaza, are among sponsors of the boxes that will be distributed on April 27.
The box contains staples such as flour, rice, sugar, couscous, pasta, sugar, canned tomatoes and corn, tortillas, pita bread, baguette, bottled water, toilet paper and fresh produce. Contents may vary. Melissa’s Produce has donated product to the boxes.
