Hotel Figueroa Has Re-Opened Its Doors!
In February 2018, the hotel re-opened its doors after renovations. It is now a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. This calls for a celebration!
During our grand reopening, we invite you to revisit Hotel Figueroa and enjoy a
daily $100 hotel credit when you reserve a room or suite.
Hotel Figueroa was originally introduced in 1926 as an exclusive women’s hostelry by the YWCA and was managed by one of the first female General Managers, Maude Bouldin.
After a two-year, top-to-bottom transformation, they reclaimed the original Spanish Colonial design to honor our progressive past. Archways, street-facing windows, skylights, and fireplaces have been restored for a lively grand lobby experience that is punctuated with works by local artists such as Alison Van Pelt, Sarah Awad, and Estevan Oriol. All 268 rooms are stylishly refined, many with wide plank hardwood floors, custom terracotta tiles, and a mix of blackened steel & brushed brass bathroom fittings.
Hotel Figueroa also spotlights two destination restaurants, Breva and Veranda, conceived by James Beard Award nominee, Chef Casey Lane, from Tasting Kitchen and Casa Apicii. Dushan Zaric, New York City’s Employees Only cocktailier, pours a progressive spirit into the hotel’s bars including Bar Figueroa, Veranda, Rick’s, and the reservations-only, Bar Alta.
More than 10,000 square feet of event space is available for celebrations, product launches, and meetings. The iconic pool area has also been upgraded with modern outdoor furnishings and native succulents.
