Nominations are now open for the 2017 VIBE Vista Awards which will recognize the leading chain and hotel beverage executives, suppliers and programs during the VIBE Conference, Feb. 27 to Mar. 1, 2017 in San Diego.
VIBE Vista Awards recognize the top performers in the beverage industry through the creation, training, execution, management and on-going positive results of beverage programs. Awards are separated into two groups – multi-unit chain restaurants or hotels, cruise lines and casinos. Award categories include:

“The highlight of the annual VIBE Conference is honoring the chain restaurants, hotels, cruise lines and casinos for their outstanding corporate beverage programs,” remarked Lawrence J. “Laddie” Weiss, founder of Weiss Foodservice Visions, advisory council member and event director for VIBE. “To earn a VIBE Vista Award is a great achievement for companies committed to innovative, safe and profitable beverage practices.”
Entries are judged on positive beverage sales initiatives, efficient operational innovations and training and service programs producing high quality standards. Nominations may be submitted by operators, suppliers, sponsors, agencies, distributors and consultants. All submissions are reviewed by a panel of Johnson & Wales University beverage faculty, staff and alumni and are due no later than Friday, Nov. 11, 2016.
“Each year we enjoy reviewing submissions and finding the remarkable innovations of the beverage industry,” said Edward Korry, Associate Professor, Department Chairman, Johnson & Wales University. “Winners of the VIBE Vista Awards become industry leaders with their high quality hospitality standards, operational practices and profitable initiatives.”
Finalists will be notified on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and judging will take place on Friday, Dec. 9. Winners will be notified on Monday, Dec. 12 and later recognized during the 2017 VIBE Conference at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. Awards will be presented at the conference on Tuesday, Feb. 28 following the keynote speaker.
