California high school students will compete in Pomona at the 2018 ProStart Cup, and put their skills to the test. The teenagers have developed new restaurant concepts, technology, and innovative dishes to be judged by some big names.
Inspiring words on Monday, March 19 at 3:00 pm will be provided by Keynote speaker Jet Tila of Chopped, the Rachael Ray Show, and Guy’s Grocery Games. Students will also have the opportunity to meet recruiters from several colleges in the area and build connections with successful restaurants
Happening March 18-19, at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Conference Center, competing categories will include the Culinary Cup, Management Cup, and Innovation Cup.
- Culinary Cup: one hour to complete a starter, entree & dessert
- Management Cup: prepare a business proposal for new concept
- Innovation Cup: pitch a technology related advancement for the industry
