Restaurant fundraiser will benefit family of bicyclist killed by hit-and-run driver

Mama’s on 39 in Huntington Beach will host a fundraiser Wednesday, April 9 to benefit the family of a bicyclist killed on Sunday.

Genevieve Hall, 34, was struck by a hit-and-run driver just before 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Utica Avenue.

Spurred by a neighbor of Hall’s, the fundraiser will help pay for her funeral expenses. Patrons can drop by the eatery from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. to donate to the cause. Later in the day at 5:30 p.m., a baseball team will take part in Mama’s on 39’s “Give Back Days” and donate the proceeds that the restaurant gives back to the team to help Hall’s family.

Mama’s on 39 is at 21022 Beach Blvd. For more information, call 714-374-1166. Information about the restaurant is also available at www.MamasOn39.com.
