San Diego’s Chaine des Ri´tisseurs Chapter has brightened the careers of six future leaders in the hospitality industry by awarding them scholarships to assist with their continuing education in food, wine, and hospitality services and management.
The Chaine scholarships totaled $15,000, with $11,000 immediately allocated. Funds are raised annually during the Festival’s Wine Spectator Celebrity Chef Luncheon & Live Auction.
Students who received stipends from the Chaine are Stephanie Gosselin, Rebecca Romero, Magdarline Winblad, Michael Bolmey, Lindsay Pomeroy, and Adam Godlove.
Over the years, San Diego’s Chaine chapter has raised money for scholarships from a variety of special events.This is its second year of collaboration with the San Diego Wine & Food Festival to raise money for, and to award, Chaine scholarships.
