The beloved sister restaurants debut several new lunch specials to coincide with peak beach season and the official first day of summer on Thursday, June 21, 2018
WHAT:
Just in time for peak beach season, acclaimed Long Beach chef and restaurateur Arthur Gonzalez launches permanent lunch specials on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the restaurants, Roe Seafood and Panxa Cocina, which include one indulgent and one healthier option at each location. The new lunch specials provide guests with an opportunity to enjoy a leisurely lunch through summer and beyond, or a healthy meal on-the-go during the busy work day.
Roe Seafood, Long Beach’s go-to eatery for sumptuous summer seafood spreads, starts serving the Captain’s Lunch ($16) with choice of Roe Burger, Fried Fish Tacos, or Filet R’O’E Fish Sandwich; choice of Chowdah or Seafood Bisque; and a Farm Lot 59 Mixed Greens Salad, in addition to the Skinny Captain ($15) with choice of Albacore Tuna Toast, Grilled Fish Tacos, or Ceviche Tostada; choice of Chowdah or Seafood Bisque; and a Farm Lot 59 Mixed Greens Salad. Guests can also opt to add on a draft beer to their orders for an additional $4. Lunch-goers are encouraged to use the hashtag: #RoeforCaptainsLunch to share their experiences on social media.
Panxa Cocina, one of L.A.’s only dedicated modern Southwestern restaurants, launches the Belly Lunch ($14) which comes with a half Torta with choice of pork, chicken, or short rib; alongside a Farmer’s Cobb Salad and a cup of Posole, in addition to the lighter Panxa Power Lunch ($12), which comes with Posole with choice of pork, chicken, or short rib; alongside the Panxa Chop Salad. Both of the new lunch specials include a free nonalcoholic beverage or guests can add a draft Modelo or glass of J. Roget Sparkling White for an additional $3.
