Bruxie will open its fourth unique eatery in Southern California when it opens its doors in Chino Hills in November 2012. The concept, unlike any in the nation, serves more than a dozen savory and sweet gourmet waffle sandwich offerings. Chefs, Partners and Concept Creators, Dean Simon and Kelly Mullarney, opened their first Bruxie location in 2010 in Old Towne Orange, and a second location one year later on the Birch Street Promenade in Brea Downtown. Bruxie’s third location opened in Rancho Santa Margarita earlier this year in May, and this fourth restaurant will be located at Shoppes at Chino Hills in the space formerly occupied by Johnny Rockets (13920 City Center Drive in Chino Hills).

“The response to our third location in Ranch Santa Margarita has been amazing. Since opening a few short months ago, our enthusiastic and talented staff has grown and exceeded all expectations,” commented Dean Simon, Managing Partner of Bruxie. “We believe The Shoppes at Chino Hills is a great venue and look forward to bringing the Bruxie experience to the Inland Empire.”

The Chino Hills restaurant features more than 90 seats of combined indoor and outdoor seating. The menu mirrors its sister restaurants’ menus by offering Bruxie’s unique takes on authentic Belgian waffles, alongside salads, locally produced old-fashioned cane sugar sodas, real Wisconsin frozen custard, shakes, sundaes and floats. Bruxie proudly serves Peet’s Coffee & Tea products, and nothing on the menu exceeds $10.

“Our menu puts a unique twist on classic foods, all beginning with a waffle that is crispy, light, and yeasty,” added Simon. “We have also gained quite a reputation for our real Wisconsin frozen custard, which is the base of our shakes, floats and sundaes.”

The Bruxie menu features two types of Belgian waffles. First, the Brussels waffle, used to produce all Bruxie sandwiches, is not sweet in taste, and when cooked, its yeast aroma is reminiscent of freshly baked bread. The Liege waffle, is a more dense, sweet waffle, with Belgian-pearl sugar baked into it.
