Happy Hour is now not just slimming on the wallet but on the calorie scale as well.

Yard House, a restaurant known for its American fusion menu and extensive draft beer selection with 100-250 taps depending on location, has just launched a new Fresh & Skinny™ cocktail menu, Sake concoctions, and a new half-pint glass of beer dubbed Shortys.

The selection of Fresh & Skinny™ cocktails, priced from $8.95-10.25, have a calorie range from 115 to 176 and are made with the Yard House’s own citrus agave blend. Guests can chose from the Lite Lemon Drop featuring Ketel One Citroen Vodka and fresh lemon; Pure Cosmo made with Skyy Infusions Citrus Vodka and a splash of cranberry juice; the Skinny Margarita containing 1800 Silver Tequila and fresh lime; Citrus Crush, a blend of Ketel One Citroen Vodka, Monin Mojito Mix and sprigs of fresh mint leaves; Ruby X, a refreshing mix of 1800 Silver Tequila, X-rated Fusion liqueur and fresh grapefruit; and Juniper Fusion featuring Hendrick’s Gin, freshly plucked strawberries, sliced cucumbers and orange bitters.

Beer aficionados can create their own custom beer flight, up to three varieties, with Yard House Shortys. Priced from $2.75-4.75, these new 9 ¼ ounce pours allow guests to sample different lagers, ales and stouts without committing to a full pint or half yard. Yard House also offers six-pack samplers of its Belgian-brewed beers, which are not available as Shortys.

An array of sake concoctions–priced at $4.25 a glass or $20-32 a bottle—have also found their way onto the beverage menu and pair nicely with some of the restaurant’s Asian-influenced dishes, such as the torte-like California roll, Moo Shu Eggrolls, or Ahi Bowl, to name a few.

Here at Great Taste we rarely count the cals but if someone is serving up scrumptiousness at an affordable cost and it's easy on the fat– just means we can eat twice as much!
