May is National Military Appreciation Month and for the 5th year in a row Farrell’s is taking this opportunity to say “Thank You” to those who bravely served and are now serving in the U.S.Armed Forces by treating these heroic men and women to a free all-American, Red White and Blue Thank You Sundae. This Patriotic treat is a limited edition sundae that is only made during the month of May and for Veterans Day. It’s made with 2-scoops of vanilla ice cream, strawberries and blueberries, whipped cream, a cherry, and a tiny American flag on top (of course). Through the entire month of May, any U.S. Military personnel past or present, who show their valid Military I.D. will receive a free Red White and Blue Thank You Sundae at Farrell’s in Brea Downtown, Buena Park, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, Mission Viejo, Sacramento or Santa Clarita.

Civilians may also purchase this limited edition Thank You Sundae for $7.99 with one dollar from each purchase going to the A Million Thanks organization, a 501c3 non-profit military support charity. In addition, for the month of May, Farrell’s will have blank “thank you” notes that children can color and adults can write a thank you note to a U.S. Service Member. At the end of the month, Farrell’s with the help of A Million Thanks, will send them out to active military men and women serving our country at military bases around the world.

“A Million Thanks,” (AMillionThanks.org) is a charity organization that collects and distributes thank you letters to U.S. military personnel serving at home and abroad. To date, they have sent over 7 million thank you letters to our troops.

National Military Appreciation Month, H. Con. Res. 328, was passed in April of 2004 by unanimous consent of both Houses of Congress. This important and timely legislation tells our service members that their country has set aside an entire month to honor remember and appreciate them. For more National Military Appreciation Month activities or events, go to www.nmam.org.

There is no purchase necessary, a valid military photo ID must be presented to receive the free sundae.
