Restaurant Menu Labeling Survey / CUNY Hunter College

352

We are working on a study looking at the restaurant management views on the new labeling laws. Professors Charles Platkin, PhD, JD, MPH and Ming Yeh, PhD, from the City University of New York School of Public Health at Hunter College in New York City are conducting research on restaurant owners' perceptions of a new menu labeling law. As you are aware, Section 4205 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 requires restaurants and similar retail food establishments, with 20 or more locations, to list calorie content information for standard menu items on restaurant menus and menu boards, including drive-through boards.

Participation in this study is voluntary and you must be at least 18 years of age to participate. The online survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Answers will only be analyzed in aggregate and those surveyed will remain completely anonymous.

Coverage for this important research would be appreciated and of course when the study is complete we will pass the results to your editorial staff. Also, if you could please post on Facebook and twitter taht would be helpful.
