Bilingual Singing Sensation and Pasadena Native Helps Celebrate IHOP Restaurants’ Decade of Giving by Serving Guests at Hollywood IHOP Restaurant
WHAT: Teen singing sensation and Pasadena native, Kevin Ortiz, is supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as a spokesperson for IHOP Restaurant’s tenth annual National Pancake Day. On National Pancake Day (March 3), he will flip and serve pancakes for guests at the Hollywood IHOP restaurant.

WHY: On March 3, National Pancake Day, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer each guest a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide.
This year, IHOP Restaurants is celebrating a “Decade of Giving” in honor of the tenth anniversary of National Pancake Day. To commemorate this milestone IHOP Restaurants hopes to raise $3.5 million, which would bring the total raised to nearly $20 million in the ten years since National Pancake Day began. Beginning at 7:30 a.m. Bilingual musician, Kevin Ortiz, learns how to make the “perfect pancake” and flips and serves pancakes to guests at the IHOP restaurant located at 7006 Sunset Blvd in Hollywood.

· Last year, pancake lovers donated nearly $3 million to children’s charities.
· IHOP Restaurants served nearly 4.2 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day 2014.
· All of the free pancakes served on National Pancake Day 2014 would have created a stack more than 12 miles high.
